Prior Dual Enrolled, Direct Credit or Early College Student: I attended Muskegon Community College as a Dual Enrolled, Direct Credit or Early College student in the past and now I am graduating high school and want to attend MCC in the fall/winter/summer semester.

Returning Student: I have attended Muskegon Community College in the past and would like to return to take classes to complete a degree and/or certification.

Academic Program of Interest

This degree is for students intending to transfer to a four-year college or university. If you wish to major in a program that requires you to transfer to a four year college, such as Social Work or Computer Science, the courses you need to take are outlined in the transfer guides available online at www.muskegoncc.edu. These programs are planned to enable students to transfer to bachelor degree-granting colleges and universities with advanced standing. Students graduating from Muskegon Community College with an Associate in Science and Arts Degree are generally admitted to the bachelor degree-granting institutions with junior year standing.

The Art Pathway degree will prepare students who plan to transfer to a participating four-year college or university and work towards a bachelor's degree in Art, Fine Arts or Graphic Design, dependent on the signed agreement by the four-year college or university.

The MiTransfer Pathway Associate in Science and Arts (ASA) degree includes the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) and is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university and major in a particular discipline.

The MiTransfer Pathway Associate in Science and Arts (ASA) degree includes the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) and is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university and major in a particular discipline. A minimum of 62 credit hours with a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA, is required for the ASA Degree. MCC and the Michigan Transfer Agreement require a "C" or better in individual courses used to meet ASA and MTA requirements. These courses are shown in bold type below. Courses numbered below 100 do not count toward the ASA. Any course can be used only ONCE in any category.

The Exercise Science Pathway degree will prepare students who plan to transfer to a participating four-year college or university and work towards a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health and Fitness, or Kinesiology.

Possible career outcomes include: Anatomist, Athletic Director, Athletic Therapist, Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist, Coach, Exercise Physiologist, Health Educator, Kinesiologist, Personal Trainer, Physiologist, Physical Therapist, Recreation and Sports Director, Sports Nutritionist, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Wellness Educator.

The MiTransfer Pathway Associate in Science (AS) degree includes the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) and is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university and major in a particular discipline. The core courses will help you develop your understanding of abstract mathematics, introductory physics and engineering, and other related disciplines.

The MiTransfer Pathway Associate in Science and Arts (ASA) degree includes the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) and is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university and major in a particular discipline.

Students who receive this degree will transfer to a four-year and usually work towards a degree in Public Health, Public Health Education, and Health and Human Services. Health educators and community health workers work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, nonprofit organizations, government, doctors' offices, private businesses, and colleges.

The Social Work Pathway degree will prepare students who plan to transfer to a participating four-year college or university and work towards a bachelor's degree in Social Work.
